Sherine Heshmat

Sherine Heshmat is the founder of Art Square Academy. She was the head of fashion design department at the Fashion Design Center (FDC) in Egypt, for 9 years. She was in charge of supervising the student’s graduation project for the Fashion Designing and Fashion Styling courses.

Sherine has participated in international exhibitions; such as "Salon De Pret-a-Porter" in Paris on Feb. 2010, where she was coordinating the FDC’s student participation in the exhibition. She also took part in “Cairo Fashion Art Project in Import Shop Berlin/Germany” with her own collection.

Adding to her experience, Sherine has contributed in cultural heritage projects in order to transfer her theoretical and practical understanding of the field to the people in the remote areas of Egypt.

Zahra ElSherbini

Zahra ElSherbini is a fashion Consultant, consulting designers and retailers in various sectors including design, buying, merchandising, styling and brand management. Zahra is very well rounded in all aspects of the fashion industry, which comes naturally since she was the Fashion Director of several magazines in Egypt (Cairo Elite, London Runway and Magnificent magazine), besides that, Zahra was also the Editorial Director of Cairo Elite magazine. Zahra is also a stylist and photoshoot director, vital parts of her job that relate to styling include model castings, fashion direction of celebrity and non-celebrity photo-shoots, constructing customized photo-shoots for fashion designers and the direction of fashion editors & stylists. Zahra studied at The London College of Fashion; one of the leading centres of fashion education in the world and the only college in Britain to specialize in fashion education, research and consultancy. LCF is a constituent college of the University of the Arts London with the very recognized Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.

Marwan Moumen

Marwan holds Bachelor degree in Architecture Engineering and Interior Design, and has over 10 years of combined experience as an engineer and an Interior Designer. Among others, he worked for such prominent firms as Dar Al Handasa, Foster and partners, 5+Design, Yamasaki, and had a pleasure to work on a wide variety of projects all over the world, including The Palm jumeirah Island in Dubai, and the Pearl Island in Doha and many others where interpersonal, decision making and technical skills were paramount.

His involvement with reputed international companies has exposed him to State-of-the-art practices in Interior creation, Design techniques, and has familiarized him with the most up to date Interiors Trends and standards.

Marwan enjoys solving complex Architecture and design problems and is eager to share the knowledge with the young designers who are eager to learn.

Reham Raafat

Reham Raafat is an AUC graduate from the school of Journalism and Mass Communications and later on, studied Fashion Design and styling. Her huge passion for design landed her several jobs in the retail industry at Marie Louis, senior assistant brand manager at OR and recently became the Brand Development Manager at the very same place. Through her interesting journey Reham was in charge of several job descriptions, ones that qualify her perfectly for the course including compiling trend report and designs, Initiating technical flat drawings, supervising sampling quality of collection for senior designer approval, fabric selection, deciding on new product lines and presenting collection to buyers and explaining it .

Noura Suliman

Noura Suliman is a stress release master/ an art instructor at Art Square Academy. Using her fine arts degree, her friendly warm character and solid experience in the field, she teaches adults different artistic techniques and approaches.

Noura is very well rounded in many fields of art, such as; painting, photography, fashion designing, building 3D maquettes and theatre and film set design.

  • Scholarship for Jewellery making from Italy and Movimondo co. at the AUC (2003 – 2006)

  • International Diploma in Diamond grading with (HRD) institute (2009)


  • Worked in jewellery manufacturing companies and factories as a designer, using different materials such as gold, silver, diamond, and even modern abstract accessories which are used for fashion shows and galleries.

  • Worked as a manager assistant for JTC “Jewellery Technology Centre” a project which was raised by the Ministry of Industry to provide training courses for individuals or factory workers. Then she became the manager of the JTC.

  • Organizing and participating in an exhibition of students studying in the JTC (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011)

  • Participated in some fashion shows and implementation of fashion jewellery in Egypt & Dubai (2010, 2011)


  • Recently she has started her own brand and organized the jewellery exhibition of her brand (Salma El Farsy Designs) at El Gzira Art Centre (2012)

Salma El Farsy

Marc Onsi

  • Marc Onsi, a freelance photographer based in Cairo, Egypt. He graduated from the German University in Cairo with double major in economics and strategic management. Following his graduation, he acquired cinematography course at the  Cinema Culture Palace and started working with Fadi Gwanny in various positions and was able to assist in various creative photo-shoots.
